- List the rules and display the Sunshine Blogger Award logo in your post and/or on your blog.
Question 1: What is the one thing you like about my blog? What is the one thing you don’t? (Sorry, I just really want feedback from my readers)
I love that you want feedback and to improve but also, I really love that you also do film reviews and also blogs comparing books to their film adaptions, I think that’s really cool.
As for what I don’t like, I’m being very picky here because there isn’t really anything I don’t like but how dark the background/layout is, your posts and personality seem so bright and I don’t feel like you get fully portrayed in your blogs colour scheme.
Question 2: Where do you see yourself five years from now?
Hopefully I will have my dream job, mortician and maybe even be close to opening my own funeral home?
Question 3: What do you think will be your next 5-star read?
The book I have mentioned three blogs in a row now without having read it yet…Sorry about that….
Question 4: One piece of advice you wish you had when you started blogging?
Write and read the things you want to write about and the books you want to read. I had watched a lot of BookTube and read a lot of book blogs and they spoke often of the newest releases and the most popular books and I thought I’d have to too, even if I didn’t want to or didn’t have a huge interest to read them but that’s not what I have to do.
My favourite book, Mine by Robert R. McCammon, isn’t a very known books and it’s not a new or recently released book yet you guys read that review, you’ve also read my short stories and other posts that I’ve wanted to do and I really love that, thank you guys! So, basically, the advice is write and read what you want. People will still like it and be interested.
Question 5: How do you treat a reading slump?
Reread a favourite book or series then I usually add another book half way through the reread. If that doesn’t work then just do other things I enjoy like write, draw or watch films, eventually you’ll miss it enough for your mind to let you read again after the break you’ve given it.
Question 6: Do you aspire to write a book someday?
Yes, I write short stories here but I did start a series called New Life that has 3 parts and I want to turn it into a novel instead of continuing with it here because that’s just too many parts.
Question 7: One person who inspires you?
Question 8: What book or book series were you not expecting to love/hate?
This book is a poetry book that I had borrowed from the library, I had borrowed one or two poetry books before this one that were good but I rated only 3 stars and this one I rated 4 stars on Goodreads. I really enjoyed the poems in this book, there were lots of really beautiful ones.
Question 9: What is one thing that you love about the book blogging community?
The people are amazing, their tastes are very varied so you can pretty easily find someone who likes what you like and get books recommended from their posts and they’re really easy to talk to, everyone who I have spoken to has been very kind.
Question 10: What are your top 3 favorite fictional cities/kingdoms/regions?
Middle Earth, I used to have a Middle Earth map poster but it fell off the wall and broke. Does Camp Half Blood count? Because then I choose that too.
The world in the Kate Daniels Series, it takes place on Earth but there is magic that comes in waves. You have technology waves where phone and cars work and magic doesn’t work during this time and you have magic waves where magic is at it’s strongest and no technology works so you have to use cars with a magical motor.
Question 11: A GIF that describes your current read?
The people I nominate are:
I’m not sure if you’ve done this one yet and I’ve just forgotten, if so, I’m sorry. Also, once again, ignoring the rule of how many people to tag and only doing three, no one I follow really does tags so I’m sorry for that too!
- Naemi, A Book Owl’s Corner (I know one of you has quite the list of tags to catch up on so sorry for piling on another)
- Elaine Howlin, Elaine Howlin
- Ailish Sinclair, Ailish Sinclair
