OMG That Song/Book Tag

Just another fun little tag I found on Riddhi’s page over at Whispering Stories.

My Jam: A song you have to listen to no matter how many times you’ve heard it before and a book you’ll never get of
Song: Learning from Drunk by Hebe Tien

Book: Mine by Robert R. McCammon

Throwback: A song that reminds you of the cringiest time in your life and a book you read that you wouldn’t like if you were to read it now
Song: I don’t really have a song for this, I’ve look at all the songs I have on Spotify and any songs I’ve listened to it in the past but I can’t think of anything.

Book: Wuthering Heights by Emily Brontë.

this is not the version I read, the version I read did only have 80 pages and I gave it 4 stars on Goodreads…No clue why I did that, I don’t remember liking it and I can’t remember anything in it that I would have liked so if I read it now, I probably won’t like it so much.

Replay: A recent song that you have on repeat and a recent favourite book
Song: Mambo Italiano by Dean Martin

Book: Smoke Gets In Your Eyes And Other Lessons From The Crematorium by Caitlin Doughty

Am I done with this book? No. But I have read a lot of it and I’ve talked about almost every chapter with my mum (against her will, I talk too much about death and the death industry and she does not care but oh well). I love this book and you will soon be getting the review of it!

Gets me: A song that is literally me and a book that is me in book form
Song: Savage Daughter by Sarah Hester Ross

Book: I don’t know. If the question was book characters I’d be able to answer or at least pick someone but a whole book that is me, I have no answer.

Wut: A weird song that you like anyways and a unique book that stuck out to you for some reason

Song: I don’t know if I listen to any weird songs.

Book: See What I Have Done by Sarah Schmidt

This book is a retelling of the Lizzie Borden murders. The author got to read the case files and even stayed at the house where the events took place to be able to write this book in the point of view of Lizzie, and two others. I did really love this book and want to reread it. I borrowed it from the library so rereading it isn’t too easy now when we’re not really going there due to Covid-19.

Let’s go: Pick your best pump up song and a book that inspires you
Song: Wait for It from Hamilton

Book: Smoke Gets In Your Eyes And Other Lessons From The Crematorium by Caitlin Doughty

I know I already used this book but I really want to be a mortician and that book has a lot of information and stories about what it’s like to actually be working in the industry and it’s been really helpful and useful to be able to read it.

Chill: Your best relaxing song and a book you’d curl up with on a rainy day
Song: 你,好不好? (How have you been?) by Eric Chou

Book: Mine by Robert R. McCammon

Another book I’ve already mentioned in this post but it’s just so good!!!

Addicting: A guilty pleasure song and a light, trashy read you can’t help but love
Song and Book: I have nothing for these, I don’t have any guilty pleasures and I don’t like light, trashy reads.

Nostalgia: A throwback song you look back fondly on and a book you read and loved when you were young
Song: Sweet Transvestite from Rocky Horror Picture Show

Book: Whatever Next! by Jill Murphy

Because this one was for nostalgia I thoughts I’d use this book. It was the first book I got to read by myself, it was from school when we were learning how to read and I really loved it, it was such a cute fun story.

I don’t really have any specific people I want to tag for this one so I tag anyone who reads this and wants to do it, thank you so much for reading 🍓
